Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
All students enrolled in public sector universities recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) are eligible to apply. The eligibility depends on your program level and admission date.
Eligibility by Degree & Admission Date
Students enrolled in a 4-year BS program or pursuing a PhD can apply. From undergraduate to PhD level, students are eligible, but there are a few additional conditions. For example:

- Must be enrolled in a morning or evening program (weekend programs are not eligible).
- Must not have received a laptop in any previous scheme.

- Must be a Pakistani national.
- Must meet minimum academic criteria: Semester system: 70% marks or 2.8 CGPA. Annual system: 60% marks. CGPA conversions must follow the official HEC formula.
Who is Not Eligible for PM Laptop Scheme?
The following students are not eligible: Students from private universities, even if HEC-recognized. Those studying in government or postgraduate colleges. Students of affiliated colleges. Students enrolled in weekend programs. Students who have already received a laptop under any federal or provincial scheme. Foreign nationals. Students who fail to apply online.

How to Apply for PM Laptop Scheme 2025 – Step-by-Step Guide
Whether you are using a mobile phone or computer, the application process is the same.
Step 1: Visit the Official Portal
Open your browser and go to: https://laptop.pmyp.gov.pk. Or simply search “PMYLP Laptop Scheme 2025” and click on the first link.
Step 2: Click “Apply Now”
On the homepage, you’ll see a white “Apply Now” button. Click it to access the registration form.
Step 3: Register Yourself
Enter the following: CNIC number (without dashes). Fill in the captcha. Click Submit. Read and accept the instructions.
Step 4: Fill in Personal Information
You’ll need to provide: Full Name (as per CNIC or matric certificate). Father’s Name. Date of Birth. Gender. Permanent Address. Province & City (Domicile). Employment Status. Disability Status. Have you received a laptop before? (Yes/No)
Step 5: Enter Academic Details
Now fill in: Your University Enrollment Number. Select your University, Campus, Department, and Degree Level. If your department is not listed, the focal person at your university may not have uploaded it yet. Check again later. Once selected, your degree program will auto-fill based on your department.
